You could probably use that battery, but if it doesn't use a 7805, it may not last long because the voltage is low to begin with.

1,000 mAH would be 1AH, meaning the nomad will last for 1 hour if it takes 1 amp, 2 hours if it takes 1/2 an amp, (or 500mA) or a half hour if it uses 2 amps. if there is a voltage regulator, it will probably be longer than what is said on the adapter, because that is when being prepared for power spikes.

Wel, I just finished my homemade Genesis Portable. It's a cheap alternative to the Nomad. Real simple to make to.
It's the only one in existance that I know of.

thats pritty funny looking but sweet any way. i would have looked for the bigest screen i could (maby a ps2 or xbox 7 inch) and but it on the back and controls on there some where and most likely do a case change... you know besides the screen i would like to put in to that, i have every thing to do that here. me thinks i might just make one.

Thanks for the help SpongeBuell.

cennar, your portable Genesis came out very nice along with your other portables. I like how you find ways around building custom cases.

I take it you mean G-force :D

Anyways, nice genesis there. You are using the same detatchable screen for them all, aren't you? I thought about that, but I would have wanted to take off the tuner and everything. Maybe I could have modified it to bring it down to just the screen and controller, then make a new case for it, and a kind of docking station for it.

you can't on a gamegear, but you can on the nomad. I suppose that the best way is to look and see if there is any writing on the board.
