Well as a way to cut back useless posts and much of the spam, I suggest somebody puts a post limit (Can be done with a mod) to either everyone's account or just those abusing their post limit (Like atari's 17 per day). I think the limit should be around 10 or so.
Is this a good idea at all?

What if people make useful replies in multiple forums though? I think it would work good if it could be made 10 posts per forum instead of for all of them, but that might not be technically feasible.

Well what if someones writing a report and needs like alotta feedback, and those feedback needs replies? I dont think This is a good idea at all, as people who make a lot of USEFUL posts will feel limited.
This would be a good as a punishment, but not an overall.

In my opinion, no.Kurt_ wrote:Is this a good idea at all?
Sometimes when I have a free day, I spend it all on forums. Keep in mind, a "day" goes from about 9:00 AM to 3:00 AM.
I think that a few years ago, I was up to about 25 or 30 posts a day when I had nothing else to do. Interpret them as you may, but I don't believe any to be spam.
Maybe as probationary measures (if you're on the List for spamming…).Sword_Gun wrote:This would be a good as a punishment, but not an overall.

Points taken.
However, the mod is for single user accounts anyways.
Here's what I was looking at:

Limit Posts Per Day wrote: This does not limit the posts to a 24 hour period, but rather a single day.
24 would probably be easier
Please PM me with any comments and let me know if it works. I have given this to several people and nobody got back to me if it worked

Thanks! Just like this post:cowsgoquack101 wrote:Well fi it was 10 per day, Skyone would be over the limit (10.24) but he puts out plenty of useful facts and information.
You see, I don't go around posting: "YOU MAKE FBI AGENT SAD."
Sword_Gun is right, it would make best as a punishment, not for every user.

I've been here about a year and a half and just broke 1000 posts a couple days ago. Some others that signed up after me have more posts, but thats fine, I just like to help where I'm needed and most of those with more posts than me think the same thing.
My personal rule for posting is that it has to really matter, if its just to say "haha" at a joke, I usually don't post, or I talk about other stuff along with it. I just have to know that my post will be useful, as I'm a slow typer and its not worth my time to spam.
