Ok, E3 confrence for playstation just ended, and I'm not too excited.
Most of the games didn't look too amazing, though some were quite amazing.
However, what a shocker (Spoiler)
playstation STOLE nintendo idea
(OMG! NO WAAY! )
Total crap in my book. The controller is so innovative because it's nintendo's idea in a PS2 controller shell. Not too impressive, sorry guys.
Price = $499 for ps3 with smaller hard drive.
I'm sorry, but the ending totally ruined it. The controller's originality to control games in a new way is probably the dumbest excuse to copy technology.
SO enough with that, I was also dissappointed with the games. I didn't really like the racing games, but there was a game which used the PSP as a sort of "rear view mirror" and it was quite impressive. The Eye toy also looked more promising with the card demo. As for the other games, the FPS types looked alright, and as for AFRIKA, well, I'd need an explination for that one.

Ok, I am too pissed to put it into words. Sony has just proved how lame and uninnovative they are. They'd rather copy ideas and market crappy rehashes than come up with something decent...Kuturagi takes the stage. He introduces the PS3 controlled ... and it's the PS3 controller?!? It looks exactly the same, but it has many new function. Most importantly, it has "6 degrees" of motion-sensing movement. (Um, Nintendo, what do you have to say about this?) You can move it up and down, you have pitch and yaw and roll movement, and it's all still wireless and, in fact, lighter than PS2's DualShock.
How blatantly can they steal something? I know its a capitalist economy and they have every right grab Nintendo's ideas but blah blah blah!
They're missing something Nintendo has: Shigeru Miyamoto and ingenuity. Wonder if they can make the controller less than a marketing gimmick.
I was pretty disgusted by the blatant steal of ideas. I was pretty excited about the games and all until the controller popped up. That's just one too many times to copy other ideas. Honestly, I was actually looking forward to the Sony conference and was watching in awe, so please don't call me a mindless fanboy. It just seems Sony is bent on stealing any new ideas brought onto the market.
Edit: Glad to see someone's as pissed as I am. Go marshall!

Wow just wow, those mother copulate bastards. I knew they were going to steal it but maybe as an add on or for their PS4 but just like this. Wow. Although i doubt this will be used in most games though becuase it doesnt detect movement in 3D space, just (correct me if I'm wrong) 6 directions. So basically they get a regular PS2 dualshock with Kirby Tilt n Tumble built in, nothing special, but I'm still pissed as hell because they said its an original idea, and then said how innovative it is. I cant wait for Reggie to kick ass though. (preferably Ken Kutaragi's)

Wow, I am so mad right now. Nintendo's innovation has been stripped from it, and now it has been left defenseless. It seems Miyamoto takes sword and shield in hand once again...

However, Sony has one thing on Nintendo.....Square-Enix! Hopefully the big N can regain SE support with their new console.....think it can be done?

I consider this a victory for Nintendo. While some people derided the motion sensing Wii remote for it's non-standard feel, Sony went ahead and used the detection concept. They did this in the past: shoulder buttons, analog control, rumble... (and everyone uses the d-pad, which Ninty cooked up in 1980, so I won't dwell on that!) Anyhow, they didn't COMPLETELY steal the Wii control idea as Sony sansed the remote configuration, but still, WHO was the first on the block? This really is a testament to Nintendo's "grip" on the controller innovations. Rock on.
