Terragen and Blender users UNITE! Warning: LOTS OF IMAGES!

Post by *o* » Mon Apr 17, 2006 6:27 pm

hello everyone,

Who here uses terragen or blender?

Blender is a 3D mondelling program/animation and terragen is a 3d lanscape program.

If you do upload your pics, write some tips etc.

P.S. Both of these programs are free.

Here are a couple of my pics.

Here is something i made in blender.

Those are good, great use of simple shape.

@ daaguy you should subsurf the area where the water meets the land. its a little jagged.

do you use yayfray?

I've used both, as well as Max, Maya, Softimage XSI, Lightwave, Modo and ZBrush (My fave along with Maya.)

Heres some work from Maya, some of it has already been posted here.

Since I made that head i've figured out how to do mouths properly so they look real. My eyes good, but I do need to work on my noses.

thanks for the suggestion. i don't use yafray, what is it? the pic with jagged water was made with an older version of blender which i don't thing had separate subsurf render levels and normal levels. i had to use level 1 subsurf or else my computer would freeze. luckily the new version fixes that so i can fix it :)
