I found out that some gif files go way too fast in mozilla. Is there a way to stop this?

The reason is that Mozilla Firefox is much faster than IE, and since the GIF's were made for IE, you can't stop it unless you use IE.

Wow I hate to say this, but that's the dumbest thing I've heard all day.

Read the title.

There's a nice little extension called FasterFox, it allows you to tweak with the network settings in FF to speed up browsing, I suppose you could do the opposite with it, and decrease speed.

AOL owns firefox in terms of speed. Other than that though, it isn't anything to get happy about.

AOL is horrible, because it's based on - you guessed it - IE!

I though it was IE that was slow because I saw a gif on firefox and them IE and it was unbearably slow. I guess I was just used to seeing it fast.

Doesn't FasterFox just speed up the download speed?

-If i remember right, all faster fox does is precache the links on the page so you couldnt use it to slow down the gifs because it has nothing to do with speed. "You cant UNcache somthing".

-As it stands, AOL and MSN are the worst because they use there browsers as advertising space, clouding you with ads about everything. IE has become a standard so most of the web pages out there are based on it. Firefox was designed for linux, and to do one thing. Surf the web. I use firefox for most of my surfing, but when a page doesnt work in FF, i have a tab on the top that changes the page to an IE page but keeps it in a FF tab. Its really nice.

You do know that's IE with a new skin, right? Do you really think MSN (MicroSoft Network) would use anything other than what they push in everyones face, quite like putting a dogs nose in the crap they made on the carpet?
