you could get a top screen replacement, but then again, It sounds like you'd have to build a top half of the case as well.

You can buy top screens on Ebay or Xbox Repair Guide. Xbox Repair Guide is cheaper.

If you're talking about the cable that goes from the mainboard to the top PCB, he needs this.

Yes. I believe it is for the WiFi antenna.

Yes, it's the wifi antenna. Here is the full top PCB set along with the wire.

Hope the repair goes well! Do you have a tri-wing screwdriver? You need that, too!

before buying the top sceen replacement findout if any of the mainboard got damaged so you don't end up with two topscreens and no ds. I wish you the best of luck with the repair.

Good job. Have fun fixing it! It's really easy. To fix the DS. The only think that I could see being a problem is the Wifi cable (or the cable between the mainboard and the top board). You need to take the DS completely apart to change those.

I've taken my DS apart completly and it took me like 5 minutes. Putting it back together took about 10 minutes. Just dont loose the screws, i lost two

he gave it to me to fix for the time being and it does this weird thing when you turn it on. the bottom scree(top not being atached) flashes and then it turn off. this is just because the top screen/antena are not hocked up right?

Fuse 1 (I think) might be blown, it's under the bottom screen. Check it to see if it's working using a multimeter. Does it turn on at all, like does the green light stay on? If the light doesn't stay on, then F2 is blown, and that one's next to the power plug. Check that one as well, then tell us which one.

But that sounds more like Fuse 2, since the screen comes on then goes off.
