Movies on ipod?

How can you convert video files to go on your iPod, with iTunes. It always says "In just a few simple clicks, you can convert your home movies to go on your iPod". Well What the copulate apple? There is no guide on the whole website! Help would be greatly appreicated asap. Thanks!

I have videora, cant figure out how to use the damn thing.

Plus, I cant download any more software, parents orders, I would just like to do it with itunes...
PS3 sucks...

for dvds


well the way my freind did was to get a good dvd ripping software and rip the dvd then you have all the episodes or movies in files........after that i dont know if you have do something to convert it to like a ipod file but first if you can talk your parents to let you get ummmmm i think it is dvd shrink that i use.or i use nero or sonic or sumthin like that.

Dudes, your all fools! Your all living 85 years in the past.

Import your video into itunes.
Go into videos.

Right click the video -> Convert selection for iPod.

Now thats more like it. Yah I screwed up but you dont have to be a like you said "bigass!" because I didnt have much time on the pc and dont have my program like fire fox on this pc. I didn't know iTunes offered that. I do know that the the Quicktime Pro version offers you the ablity to convert most video files to H286 or MPEG-4 format. That upgrade will cost you $30.

I'll check out that Vidora converter, I'd like to watch some anime.

I gave an answer that he could use if he wanted movies from dvds sorry for being helpfull wont happen again.
