I've been waiting a long time for this, I've now met a couple people from these boards (triton, spongebuell) in person, and really had a neat time with both.

John says it like this; "For the first five minutes, it was extremely awkward, then for the rest of the weekend, it was like we'd known each other for years."

I've got so much preperation to do... mainly car work, and I also plan on bringing a new portable to the event. (Think along the lines of the L64, but about 20 years earlier)

We're thinking of leaving Thursday night and arriving Friday morning. Go to the hotel and check in.

If there is any room left in anyones car, could me and my friend catch a ride to the BBQ?

It is not junk! It is assorted goods with no current use.

Also it sounds like I will be doing a panel after all. Their first email asking about it apparently got eaten by the interwebs.

Will probably be on Saturday. So yes, more fun for everyone! Now I just need a presentation.... ;) Any suggestions?

Bring along something you can record with and a pile of standard release forms and get some "live" Q&A for the podcast episode following the MGC.
