Bleah.
I hate "we're all going to die" stuff. Because people have been saying it for... oh, how long have mankind been around?
Seriously. I hate drama that does nothing but incite more drama.

Wrong. Most farmers artificially spread pollen. We will never run out of food due to bees. (Maybe honey)

A world without honey? Or delicious honeycomb cereal?
That IS the end of the world.

How do they spread the pollen?

The solution is simple. Farmers can start breeding metroids to help pollinate plants. Then we could have our precious cereals and honey based products again.

Flies and birds also spread pollen, but on a smaller scale than bees.
Also, blind bees can still find flowers by scent/ instinct/ luck.
Honey for everyone.
Cheers,

From what Ive heard in the past, their calendar simply ends in 2012. Its not like the last day is marked "END OF WORLD!"

Lol, it's like with how the Mayan calendar ends in 2012, so that means the end of the world.
Let's take a journey back in time, to South America, and the Mayans creating the calendar that is still used in our time:
"
Man, I'm tired. Do we really need to make the calendar this long?"
"
You've got a point. I think we can probably stop now."
"
2012? Odd place to stop, but that's ok! Off to do some more Mayan-y things!"
"
We probably didn't need to make the calendar this far ahead of time, anyways. Hopefully in the future human kind will still remember how to make calendars. You can even figure out the pattern from the hundreds of years worth we've done already.
