lcd banding

If you're making a portable you probably need something to watch it on. (Unless you want to guess what's happening in the game, but I wouldn't advise that) Anyway, this forum is your "Hacking a pocket TV/screen" one-stop solution. Share your experiences and knowledge here.

actually, now that I think about it you can't really adjust sync
If the video signal just isn't strong enough for the lcd you might be able to use a small transistor amp. Also, have you tested the atari's video on a different tv to see if there is still banding?

I just noticed no wavy lines when I go to black and white. Only when in color.

I'll be honest with you - I would have never guessed that.

hehe... I'm taking an electronics class right now (boy, did this site give me a good start) and I know my teacher pretty well (same guy that let me use the laser engraver on my atari) and if I ever really needed a transistor or something, I'm sure he'd let me. he was ok about me taking some diodes, though I decided I probably won't need them
