3.5 Inch TFT LCD Problem

If you're making a portable you probably need something to watch it on. (Unless you want to guess what's happening in the game, but I wouldn't advise that) Anyway, this forum is your "Hacking a pocket TV/screen" one-stop solution. Share your experiences and knowledge here.

3.5 Inch TFT LCD Problem

Post by Bolens » Sat Apr 07, 2012 9:20 am

Hi everyone,

I'm writing this in the hopes that someone can give me some help or advice. I bought this monitor off Amazon and all seemed to be in order...but when I hook it up to my battery(7.2 Volts/1850 mAh) the screen just flashes White and nothing else happens. I have tried more Voltage but still the same result with it flashing White. Not really sure whats wrong with it, because I know it is getting around 7.3 Volts consistent. Just is puzzling me. Hopefully someone can point me in the right direction.

Is it getting a video signal? I don't think they work without video.

Have you tried 12V? I think that's what it requires.

But I agree with Prog, I think you need to supply a video feed or whatever to make it work.

Yup feed it 12v and a video signal and see if it works. I just count the white flash on start up as a way of making sure it works.
