Hi!
I recently bought a Thrustmaster PSone screen which I will be using in some kind of portable later on.
The problem is, I can't seem to get the video to work. Audio works fine though.
I'm currently using a PAL Wii with composite cables as the source.

I've been looking at the Playstation A/V pinout/in at http://www.gamesx.com/avpinouts/psxav.htm,
and this is how it's connected right now:

I´ve also tried to connect the 5V pin, but it did'nt appear to make any difference.
Do I have to connect all of the ground pins of the screen?
When I remove/attach the video cable, the screen flicker changes, and I've been able to get the screen to display red/green/blue by connecting the video cable to respective rgb pins (9, 11 and 12)
The screen also has switch wich allows you to change between NTSC and PAL (none of them working).
There'a a lot of guides on how to connect the Sony screen, but since the internals are'nt similar at all I can't figure this one out.

Re: Thrustmaster PSone screen: unable to get composite video
Maybe I need a resistor/potentiometer connected between the comp. in and out, or ground?
Right now the screen is just showing light and dark "lines" which are moving up and down on the screen (up when switched to PAL, and down when switched to NTSC. When I connect the video cable the lines stop moving, but I have no image.
Could I have fried something by testing different pin combinations? This is my first screen mod.
Thanks!

FIXED!
If anyone's intrested, it turns out this screen does'nt seem to accept composite video, and since I don't have a RGB cable, I made my own:
High quality stuff!
Does anyone know how to get more contrast and saturation in the picture?

Re: Thrustmaster PSone screen: unable to get composite video
did the screen come with buttons on the back?

Nope, just the usual brightness/volume buttons on the front.iHackedit wrote:did the screen come with buttons on the back?
Maybe it would have been possible to solder a potentiometer to the video chip,
but all the IC's on the boards are sanded down, making it impossible (at least for me) to identify them

Most rgb mods on consoles need an amplified circuit for each line.

what do you suggest for this?
most likely the screen will be used with a PAL gamecube if that helps

I don't really know. But I think there is a guide on this forum and maybe even in Ben's book for building an amplifier circuit for rgb lines. Seems like it was just a couple of caps and resistors.
