.....is 9v too little for something that requires 10v?
I know you have a bit of leeway in terms of volts with everything you do but still....
Is 9v too much for a Ps1 screen and......

It should be alright. I mean, the circuit was specifically designed for 10 Volts - but 9 Volts will be fine.
What will / should happen is the CFCL Backlight should be dimer than it usually should, and another example will be that the Volume will not amplify as loudly as it should normally on the 10 Volt rating.
Test it out. As long as you have a good amount of Amps (Milliamps to be price when it comes to potables - mAh), then you should be fine.

Btw I just want to make clear that I'm asking if 9v will be compatible with a Ps1 screen AS WELL AS something that requires 10v. I'm getting the 10v info from the plug of the device. The Plug gives an output of 10v and 6oomah.

The PS1 lcd needs 7.5v, I don't know where you got your info. Most of the circuitry runs on one 7805 reg, the audio amp from another reg, and the backlight inverter and chroma decoder chip both run off the unregulated 7.5v
If you put any more than 9v into the screen you risk frying it.
Why don't you post up the parts you're going to use and we can figure some way of powering them off a single adapter

Yeah I wasn't sure of the voltage of the PS1 Screen. The 10v-600ma I'm reading from the plug of the of a RetroN3 I want to portablize. The only problem with this device is the difference in voltage from the Ps1 Screen! All I want is to find the right battery setup to power both devices. Anyone know of a good way of figuring this out? Could someone also point me towards a good battery pack for the job?

Most likely the 10V input on the Retron3 goes to one or several regulators. If you're lucky it'll just be a 7805, but I see some wireless controller stuff that will probably run off 3.3, snap some pictures of the insides.

Ahh, so it is 7.5 Volts...Notyu Oviosly wrote:.....is 9v too little for something that requires 10v?

Disregard my post then
