5v into ps1 screen? Is it needed?

If you're making a portable you probably need something to watch it on. (Unless you want to guess what's happening in the game, but I wouldn't advise that) Anyway, this forum is your "Hacking a pocket TV/screen" one-stop solution. Share your experiences and knowledge here.

are you planning to use rgb or composite? only using rgb requires the +5v to the screen so that it goes into rgb mode.

the only other time the "screen" needs +5v is if you do an led mod, then the leds need +5v from the screen board.
they call me the Queen of Bondo, though maybe i should be called the Queen of Epoxy Putty

Did not know that.
How many leds do you need to make a decent led mod.
