Relatively cheap (but cumbersome) way to use laptop screen's

If you're making a portable you probably need something to watch it on. (Unless you want to guess what's happening in the game, but I wouldn't advise that) Anyway, this forum is your "Hacking a pocket TV/screen" one-stop solution. Share your experiences and knowledge here.

So this is very much lateral thinking, but if you plan to use a laptop screen for portable's then why not just leave the main MoBo of the laptop and attach a capture card to it?

http://www.amazon.co.uk/gp/product/B001 ... ZTV18F3VTC Cheapest one i found on amazon

This will make the screen accept composite video, but obviously its not really suited for portable's (Having to boot the thing everytime it runs out of battery!) But for using it for 360/PS3 laptop's then you cant go wrong (Far cheaper than buying a whole new screen, and with the laptop running from the one power supply, just keep the laptop running and there should be no problems)

There is noticable lag in any USB capture card, even PCI cards as well.
