What do you think about this screen.

im buying a screen directly from a manufacturer, and i got it customized, here are the specs:
Size/AR | Resolution | CTRLChip | Custom
7" (16:9) 480*234 JD70M12(PAL/NTSC) Variable Resistor board adjust brightness and color
it also runs on 12v input, but im sure with LED mods or something similar we can reduce this.
i could of ask for customized OSD and dual inputs but it would cost extra so i went with the simpler route and got a Variable Resistor board. Also the controller module only accepts Analog Composite in (what i asked for).
what do you think also id tell you the price im getting them for but i dont want you to pm bomb me

The general response you will get is that 16:9 sucks for most old-gen gaming as it stretches everything.
If you are going for a custom lcd/board should have gone for 5" and 4:3 ratio.

No, very few PS2 screens use the widescreen ability.Dark-Show wrote:yea, i can still actually go that route but i was thinking for the ps1-ps2 wouldnt 16:9 be better? as thats what im currently doing, sence their custom made i can do anything i want

Re: What do you think about this screen.
The other aspect is the fairly low resolution of the screen. 480x234 is more suited to older systems - newer ones may have unreadable text, for example.
Re: What do you think about this screen.
well i updated my shipment now buying two 5.6" (4:3) could of got 7" (4:3) but it would of cost to much, and im low on doe atm so 5.6" is good enough i guess

well changed my order, to two 5.6inch screens with 4:3 aspect ratio (same price) woot, thanks for your input btw, or else i would of been mad at the distorted image (i thought it would look good)
