Recommended Screens?

If you're making a portable you probably need something to watch it on. (Unless you want to guess what's happening in the game, but I wouldn't advise that) Anyway, this forum is your "Hacking a pocket TV/screen" one-stop solution. Share your experiences and knowledge here.

Recommended Screens?

Post by jayman8994 » Thu Jan 21, 2010 10:54 pm

Hi I'm a newb at portablizing and have been reading the forums for a week and a half. I don't know if this is the right place to put this but I would like to build a gamecube portable and have collected materials and designs for building one the only thing I am having trouble with is the screen. I would prefer not to spend $80-$90 on a used psone screen so could anyone recommend a good 4"-5" screen, or does anyone have a psone screen they would be willing to sell me at a cheaper price? Thx. :mrgreen:

if you get a gamecube screen make sure it is a zenith. Otherfwise, stay far away from brands like inter act, because they suck.

The gamecube screens are crap quality.

http://cgi.ebay.com/ws/eBayISAPI.dll?Vi ... 303wt_1167" onclick="window.open(this.href);return false;

$43 shipped. It is exactly the same internally as the Sony PSone screens.

Well, if you be patient and choose the right bids, you can get one ebay, for a decent price. A week ago, I received a brand new PSone screen, for $55 off of ebay.
