Alright, lets say you got the PS2 version. Here are the PS2's pinouts:
12 pin connector at the Playstation
+-----------------+
| oooooooooooo |
+-----------------+
1 12
Pin Name Description
1 GND Ground
2 RT Right Audio
3 GND Ground
4 LT Left Audio
5 Y S-Video Y
6 SYNC Composite Sync
7 C S-Video C
8 VGND Video Ground
9 B Blue
10 +5V +5 VDC
11 R Red
12 G Green
So on there you would look at which was video, which im pretty sure is composite sync, or you might have to do it with RGB. So you would look at the plug from the screen, and match it up:
video in plug ------ video out PS2
So now you know which wire is the video. You would then need to get a composite signal out of the NES. You can find how to do this on
http://www.classicgaming.com/nestable
You then run the wire from the NES (the video) into the screen wire that we found out through the pinout, and do the same with the video grnd. Btw, do you have AIM? We could discuss this in there.[/url]

Well from what I saw in my PS2 hip screen youn can just cut the wires so you know whats what and extend them later. Also the colors of the audio, when you have mono it tends to be left.nes wrote:nvm it has yellow and red on both sides no white so do i plug the av cords in the back of the nes and cut the oher av plugs at the other ends off and attach it to the two pins in the ps2 screen cord????
I also want to ask how your going to power the screen as it runs on 12v. Are you going to get a 12v battery for your project or are you going to do the LED mod and take it down to 8 volts?

dude, wait until you get the screen before you ask questions, that way you'll know what everyone is talking about, and you might even be able to figure it out. The NES and Hip Gear screen both use composite (the yellow wire when you plug AV stuff into a VCR) and it'll work.
