OK I just got mine in the mail. Guys stop using the PSone screen abd start using this one NOW !!!
Seriously this thing as da bomb. It is probably the best screen of this size that I have seen. Composite on this looks terrific.
The brightness on this thing is incredible. Color , contrast and clarity are wonderful also.
It is also very thin. And it has built in Audio and speakers.
And best of all it runs on 7.4v !!!!!!
Current draw at 7.4v :
Without audio - 540 mA
With audio at 50% - 570 mA
*EDIT* And great news. The screen works just fine with the wireless receiver removed and of course less current draw :
Current draw at 7.4v with Wireless Receiver removed:
With audio off : 420 mA
With audio at 50% : Varies but Max 500 mA
No kidding guys this will be the screen I'm going to use in ALL my portables from now on. (Well other than the one I am currently in the middle of, I can't change the screen now. LOL )
Package :
What it comes with:
Pics of it running Mario 64 :

Have you tried the wireless camera? If you can remove the wireless receiver (and it outputs composite), I'd be interested in buying the camera portion.

I removed the wireless receiver. I really don't know exactly how it works. But here is a pic of it with the pinout. :vskid wrote:Have you tried the wireless camera? If you can remove the wireless receiver (and it outputs composite), I'd be interested in buying the camera portion.

Re: PEAK Backup Camera 7 inch Screen
Now for some pics of the unit uncased.
Just fyi the screen is 6.5" x 4" and the board is 6.5" x 4.5" but can be trimmed to 6.5" x 4". Together at the thickest point they are 17mm thick together or 3/4"
Also the board is offset from the screen because of the adjustment tact switches. This makes the effective area needed for the board as is no modifying - 7.5" x 4.5".
If you use a 26 pin .5mm ffc extension and relocate the tact switches and trim the board you could get it all in a 6.5"x4"x3/4" area.
26 pin ffc extension from http://www.digikey.com" onclick="window.open(this.href);return false; part # HFF-26U-04-ND and 26 pin zif socket part # WM7643CT-ND

Why are you linking to bid items?
They are going to go much higher by the time they end.

Re: PEAK Backup Camera 7 inch Screen
That's the 7 inch one, though. We're talking about the 3.5/2.5 inch ones (and whether they are any good)

Re: PEAK Backup Camera 7 inch Screen
Greetings all... I've been interested in buying this unit for sometime now... but lack of available funds has stymied me.
An hour ago I saw this listed on the Sam's Club website for $49.81 (at my local store). This seems to be a lot cheaper than anything found on ebay.
My wife has a Sam's Club membership card... and we go quite often for groceries.
Would anyone be interested in setting up a group-buy?
I'm not sure of the weight of this item... so I cannot (yet) quote a shipping price... but I'd guess somewhere between $5 and $15 for the continental US (note: I'm not adverse to repackaging the items should weight prove a problem).
Let me know.
Jason
