psone lcd no power

hi guys this is driving me crazy
bought used (£5.00) psone lcd orignal , went home tried it not working no pwer to screen , but console fires up, so went and bought another one , but still not working,
now, one i have stripped appart to see if i can find anthing , but no luck
chaeck with multi meter on reverse of board near connecter and voltage read 7.5v
what else can i check for , must be common fault as both dont power up
how do test lcd on its own off the board( voltage , type of source)
please any help appreciated , my kids doig my head in...

have you tried going to benhecks wiki, it shows something about that

Check the fuses. They can be find near the connectors of the psone screen.
