Psone screen voltages

If you're making a portable you probably need something to watch it on. (Unless you want to guess what's happening in the game, but I wouldn't advise that) Anyway, this forum is your "Hacking a pocket TV/screen" one-stop solution. Share your experiences and knowledge here.

Psone screen voltages

Post by ShockSlayer » Tue Dec 26, 2006 3:33 pm

My current batteries suck, but will power the screen 7.2 nicd.

Well, i was wondering if the psone screen would run off of 9.6v Ni-mh rc.

I want newer ones because my batts wont power some of my n64 games for more than a minute. This ain't good. I think its because 7.2 isn't enough.

So will it run on this voltage??? or will I *shudder* need a stepdown?

Mine has run fine on 9V, but I think remember reading somewhere that 9.6 caused problems.
It's not about quantity, but rather quality

What do you mean by 'best'? The AC adaptor that comes with the PSOne screen outputs 7.5 Volts. The screen can use anything between 7.2V and 9V.

Oh. I guess it would be 7.5. Ok, I got my answer.
