If you're making a portable you probably need something to watch it on. (Unless you want to guess what's happening in the game, but I wouldn't advise that) Anyway, this forum is your "Hacking a pocket TV/screen" one-stop solution. Share your experiences and knowledge here.

Would 4 Alkaline AA's power an Intec Screen?

No. Not if you don't remove the regulators.
I suppose it COULD without the regulators, but Alkalines have a steeper (Grammar?) discharge curve than other kinds, so you'd have to be willing to put a range of voltages in an unregulated system. About 6-4V (Mind you they're probably harmless)
I wouldn't, but it's your decision. 6 volts sounds a bit risky.

its really not the screen that will fry if you put to much voltage in it. it is the amp. and it has a 7808 in it so why would 6 volts fry it anyway?

I'm not saying it will, but I'm saying you'd need to remove the regulators in order for it to have a working input of 6V.
But I'm dumb, listen to Turbo instead.

So 4 AA alkalines will not work, so would a 7.2 volt battery pack with about 3000 mA/h power it wtihout frying it?

With the regulators on, that should be 100% fine.

As Turbo mentioned the adjust boards are slightly diffrent, and the controller board is also slightly diffrent. It has a single row of pins (which have yet to be deciphered), unlike the hip gear which has two rows of pins.
