Thanks Triton and Titanium Hammy. :) Yeah, they're friggin sweet, but those emblems are what make it shine! Hopefully by the 17th it will be all done, but expect it to be done on the 24th without any setbacks that is :D

Thanks a lot guys!! It hard work, but I must admit progress is on my side, and for a limited time only. I just hope i can get it done before progress decides to head for Tahiti for vacation. :)

Very nice. You did a great job with retaining the original console's sleek look. Case mods rock, don't they  ? I am curious, however, about one thing: How are you going to mount the screen on the PS2m case? Will it be hinged, swivel mount, what?

You mean like an "AirFlo" controller?

So you took an original PS2 and cut the case down?

That's not a bad idea. Yes I did cut the case down. I took the bottom half and cut the part that is the rectancular part out so that i'd just have the flat bottom and epoxied.

ONLY small problemo i'm having is with the controller port connector on the ports. Seems the little black connector sticks out about 3mm out of where the case is supposed to go. Because of this i have tried to ingeniously dremel the back of that and SLOWLY bent it backwards eliminating this "extra pain".

But the copper traces are HARD, meaning that they break when bent, and have broken 2 of my controller ports. I 'should' probably just directly wire the points to the chip leads, but those are SMALL leads!! I may just go back to the 2" version instead of the now 1&3/4" version.

Well, the plan is to utilize the left rear screw hole that the case has for the other screens, Im going to run some galvanized steel throught the holes of the bottom of the PSOne screen case and there is a screw to hold up the memory card slot openers. Bend the steel wire around the screw and screw it down, that way it holds it in place.

Same thing for the screw hole for the left of the case, then im going to Plastic Weld it on [to make SURE this baby is on good] and paint the bottom of the hinge. :D

I NEED an opinion or three. Should i cut my spare ps2 bottom case so that when i order a new controller port i dont need to solder anything, or keep the sacred 1/4" and heave a MASSIVE 40-pin solder job from the pins on the ports to the seperated PCB?? Have a look:

I will more than likely cut the bottom case so i dont have to worry about soldering stuff, i just thought about getting it just to be that top part of the PS2, but i guess my O.G. design was better[ with that extra 1/4" at the bottom to compensate for this] :?

For the molding i used the Bondo brand 'Black Bumper Flexible Repair Paste'. It works good, mix 2parts togethor and apppy to area, then let dry for 15 minutes and sand. The sanding would've been a nightmare but i luckily have a Crafstman Heavy Duty Rotary Sander. :D :D Right before I'm getting ready to go to my grandparents house, my $100 battery arrived!!! Charging it now, this should be awesome. :)

I hacked that battery yesterday, and that thing looks more like bomb than anything else ive seen :D :D :D . I lengthened the wires so that it could fit nicely. Here's what it looks like:

Well, tomorrow im getting the little stuff that makes all this come together- bondo, dremel pieces, epoxy, solder tips, paint thinner. I need to get the paint off the cases, i'll experiment with the 4 cases im getting in a week, and trimm a new bottom case. With that ive also got to get the mobo. Probably be a while before my next update. And for those of you who think gold isnt that good of a color for this- just wait and see. :D
