GameCube Portable Screen Installation

Post by aseylys » Fri Aug 10, 2012 9:44 am

Hey guys, first I'm sorry if someone has covered this before. OK, so I'm 90% done with my GC portable. The wiring all works, I've hooked it up and it runs. I'm just unsure how to connect the RGB LCD and speakers. I've uploaded some pictures of the screen I'm using, I took it out of a brand new portable TV. If someone could help me that'd be greatly appreciated. For reference I'm using the guide from Kyorune by Kesar (sorry if I spelled it wrong)

Once again, sorry if this has been covered.

You need the controller board from the t.v. to run the lcd. If the t.v. had a video input then you will hook that up to the Gamecube. If it didn't have a video input then you are out of luck and won't be able to use it. Either way you need the controller board that the screen was hooked up to from the t.v.
