Thinking of creating a GCp.

Post by EnderBuilds » Mon Jul 02, 2012 8:19 am

Hey Guys! i was going to post this on the ModRetro forums, but it won't send me an activation email. ANY WHOOOO...

I'm thinking of making my first portable, the LCp, or the Lunar Cube Portable. I need to know how to do it STEP BY STEP, because it is the only CG Console i have. So i need help all the way until it's done. It might be a while before this project is started, because my dad has to puck up supplies from Tennessee so it can't even get going until then. But i need to know this:
  • What case i need
    What I need to order
    Where to solder
    Do i need Extra wire?
And anything else i absolutely need for this to work.

Thanks for your time!

Here's your good ol' ModRetro answer:
Read the megasticky for each section.
Gamecube: http://forums.modretro.com/viewtopic.php?f=36&t=793
Casing: http://forums.modretro.com/viewtopic.php?f=8&t=1217
Also, read Kasar's guide: http://forums.modretro.com/viewtopic.php?f=36&t=1654
Read it again.
Look at other worklogs.
Consult the documents and use the search function before asking any questions.
Don't be afraid to ask questions after you've read.
Nobody's gonna spoonfead you, so try to figure stuff out yourself.
Also, don't post to old topics, and keep all of your questions in one thread.

Hey, thanks. And like i said, i won't be able to start this project for a while now. it may take some time, but i will get it going.

And i want to try to cut the motherboard in the best possible way for me to not break the motherboard as in to make it not able to work anymore. Should i use good edged scissors?

And some of this stuff i don't even know hot to do. but take your time and i will too, i just need some help getting stuff to work.
