conductor cam of GC mobo brooo help a n00b out :)

Post by narwall » Sun Sep 11, 2011 11:56 pm

So my dad wanted to get involved in helping me with my new dream, to have a GC portable. I have been using Kaizers guide (the dumb edition) and it has been really helpful. During the stage where you use pliers to pull of different componets my dad accidently broke off a small regulator/conductor shin-dig and i was wondering if the motherboard is still good. The thing that broke off was a tiny metal box, and there are others on the mobo but will this one screw the whole thing? Should i solder it back on? Any help is appreciated I'm totally new to this but i look forward to becoming a part of the portabalizing community!
