I have the gamecube, multiple controllers, soldering and desoldering tools, the case, lots of wires, and necessary tools. Other than the screen, what else do i need to make a portable and how much should it cost?
Re: cost to build?
A battery/charger would be good if you want to take it with you. And chances are you'll need another Gamecube, as if this is your first time making a portable you WILL fry or brake something lol
Also if you don't get a screen with built n speakers you'll need an audio amp and speakers.
Welcome to the forums by the way
If you haven't looked very very closely at many tutorials and have most of you design elements finalized I would do that before building

Re: cost to build?
Are there any screens with built in speakers you recommend? I know of the psone screen, but i just want to check all of my options. Also, do amps (as in amperes) effect the system in any way other than battery life?
Re: cost to build?
I personally don't have much experience with a lot of screens, but I know the PsOne screen is very widely used and if you need help with that one there are a lot of people who know about it. There is also a 4.3" screen that I know is good, but not sure if it comes with speakers. For a 7" screen, I know this one's been recommended before, and it does have built in speakers which is nice
