No not really. I mean, a magnifying glass never hurt but you can count the pins across to find the one you need with a felt tip pen (red) so you can count and not miss the pin you need to get to.

hi, i got my ps2 games burn on dvd +r but games will not load. i got a snes station game and thats only made for the ps2. it works on the system, i got it on cd-r.

do i need to have dvd -r to play ps2 games on/ this system i got will not take any dvd games and im wodering dose this thing only works with dvd -r. pls get back to me i got the system from a modder on i offer i world had talk to him but he is not replying back to me.

DVD-R only.

I find with my mod chip, some PS2 games on a CD-R do not load. Such as Tekken Tag which is a CD game (but I have the original). PS1/one CD-R's will boot ok. Just PS2.

let me ask do you have modbo4.0? thats what i have when i got mine off i offer.



i had not modded a ps2 yet but i got the 4.0 chip in the mail its the same as the one thats in my system its small as hell let me say for a softwere that can do all that stuff like pal and more.

if i get my frist ps2 mod working out i may do one once a mouth and sell it to save up on a gas rc truck i want .

Yea, I have the Modbo 4.0. Nightmare to install huh...

RC cars are the best! Be sure to get a good brand like Kyosho or Tamiya.

oh so your into that too. i wonna a tmaxx 2.5 i dont like the 3.3 one. the 2.5 has reverse the 3.3 dose not. well anyway thanks for your help. i will let you know how i did with the ps2 mod.

hi. i got the dvd-r and it dose load the ps2 game but sometimes it wont at all and when you open the tray while the dvd is in the system and close it. the ps2 back up will not reboot unless i restart the system. im asking do you have problems loading your ps2 back ups? is all this the same problem you got.

No. Mine loads backups perfectly. PAL, NTSC-U/S and NTSC-J.

PS1 games load fine from a CD-R.

PS2 games on a CD-R do not work.


Make sure you are burning them correctly. Use Alcohol 120%...

Also, make sure the settings are correct in the PS2 Modbo BIOS. Hold (I think it was) X and O (cross and circle) while you turn the PS2 on. If not, try ^ and O (triangle and circle)...

Incorrect pins and or soldering is wrong. Could be anything. Have to use common electronic knowledge now...

i guss im in a jam, im not no electric person i follow what i see. mae sures all the pin are solder right . i may need to found this out some how.
