Hi alexrichoalex, I have not yet finished my Gamecube portable but I will try and help you here. Firstly, any screen with video in (yellow video jack) will work fine. Ps1 screens are the modders' no.1 choice as they are good quality, have video in, and there are many diagrams online on how to wire them up.

The tools you will need are as follows:

1. A soldering iron
2. A multimeter
3. A rotary tool like a dremel (not necessary but very VERY handy)
4. A de-solder pump (again, not necessary but useful)
5. varies every day tools (pliers, drivers etc.)

As for the case, it depends on how small you want to make it and how able you are to trim the motherboard. I have a diagram on my worklog with how much you can trim and how to wire things up. I suggest for your skill level that you do the minimum amount of trimming possible which will make your gcp bigger but at least it will work.

One more thing... Be prepared to fry your Gamecube, it happens. I am on my forth.

Yeah that's true, but like I said any screen with a video input will work. A few people have used in car reversing screens like this... http://cgi.ebay.com.au/3-5-TFT-LCD-Car- ... 415214aedd or this .... http://cgi.ebay.com/ebaymotors/4-3-DVD- ... ioQ5fVideo.

For the batteries, It is best to use these...

4 of these... http://www.batteryspace.com/polymerli-i ... AID=314743" onclick="window.open(this.href);return false;

with this... http://www.batteryspace.com/pcbfor148vl ... AID=314743" onclick="window.open(this.href);return false;

and this... http://www.batteryspace.com/smartcharge ... AID=314743" onclick="window.open(this.href);return false;

This will give you optimum life span with the minimum amount of space, and I show you how to wire them in this diagram...

If you can't get delivery to au then you should print off the info and go to your local hobby store and just say that is what you were after.
