Post by Rockster30 » Fri Oct 22, 2010 9:44 pm

Hello I'm doing a gamecube portable right now and I'm wondering what batteries to use and where to get them that will power a 4-5 in screen with two small speakers and the system itself. (I'm in th u.s.)

Alright I will be getting batteries, charger, PCB soon (they will be 14v) so I'm wondering if I can just hook them up to he two pins where the wall plug in goes or not. If not is there a guide on how to connect the batt to the GC. (I am not good with battery hook ups lol)

I don't know, it really should be.
Considering most new people won't know about the reference section, they should put it in the sticky

Anyway, you better post pics on your portable or Imma gonna be sad.

I have the guide bookmarked on my iPod now :P. Right now I'm trying to get the internal controller wired up and everything. Also, I'll take pictures of the progress if I can find a camera, and if I don't get one soon then I'll get a picture of the final thing. As for a case i'm thinking tubberware with each half of a controller on each side, both memory slots somewhere and also all the controller ports. It's all in the making still haha :D

Alright I got two holes for the mem slots on one side and a hole for the fan on the bottom ( which I'm still working on getting on). The controller though I won't be done fo a whil because I do not have tac switches :(. But I need some advice.

Questions:
what would be a good way to seperate the boards so it doesn't short circuit. I know thee is PVC tape bu is there a better way?

Anyone have ideas on how I could mount the disc drive onto the board under it (with some space between) so it's not flopping around everywhere :/

Thanks(in advance :p)

Ok i am still stuck on the controller and cannot desolder the joystick or should button slider things because i don't have desoldering solder suckig vacuum thing. So if there is a way to improvise that could someone explain how to do so?

Also, I will get a video of it on YouTube soon, it'll be crappy but decent.
