outstanding mods:
1. Blue LEDs wired strategically around the XBOX
2. Blue LED fan to increase airflow, don't ask how it works, it just does
3. Possible window mod (highly doubtful)
4. Modchip (if commission-er wants to pay for it)
in re: 1 - don't get your hopes up. They often don't work out or look that good. I would instead get a pair of different bi color LEDs for the eject button. I always wanted Blue/Red instead of Green/Red, so that your choices are Blue/Red/Purple instead of Green/Red/Yellow
in re: 2 - you'll need to cut the HDD tray and you can put an 80 mm fan in back. They often need to be glued in for added security. I might suggest cutting away some of the metal fan grill as well since it already has a plastic fan grill too...
in re: 3 - window mods for the DVD are fairly easy, but getting it to mesh up nicely with the top of the case is a pain. They never are flush enough for me
in re: 4 - I don't see why you would ever need a modchip unless you want to go without the DVD drive on a 1.6 xbox. 1.5 and under can be tsop flashed which accomplishes the same thing. All of them can be softmodded which also does the same thing. In this day and age (post xbox live) I don't see the point in having a chip since there are various other free methods of achieving the exact same result... unless your box is borked..
If you want to go real crazy with it you guys could build a custom case and remove the DVD drive altogether. shrink that box down to 2/3 the original size.. I like what you've done so far tho
