New gamecube portable help!

I have recently become interested in making a Gamecube portable. This is my first console modding attempt but I do work with other electronics like computer so I though I might try it.

It looks like I have a rev A gamecube
2 controllers and 1 wavebird controller
A ps1 CIRCULAR screen
and am thinking about getting 3 of these http://www.batteryspace.com/highpowerpo ... arate.aspx" onclick="window.open(this.href);return false; with the circuit and charger.
I also have plenty of 22 and 30 gauge wire and a solder/de-solder tool.

So I believe this is all the basics but I'm not sure how to proceed.
The parts i will need help with is actually attaching the ps1 screen and the battery.

Any help/links appreciated and let me know what I'm missing.
