Need help with ps2 slim scph-77001

I got a ps2 slim that goes to a blank screen. Eventually after a few resets it starts to show video and freezes on the main menu. I got it to load up a game one time before freezeing. And randomly powers off within a few minutes. I tried with another power brick and also checked the solder points for the power(no cracks or breaks within the solder). And I changed the av cable out of paranoia but saw no changes. Any help with be awesome.
