Yeah i know, looking at it now it doesnt look all that big, may use it for my mini arcade case, instead of a megdrive, never opened a ps2 so interested to see whats inside it.

was only wondering wheter to take it or not since its my nephews, he has a ps3 now and his dad has a ps2, so he wouldn't miss it.

Yeah I was thinking that only problem is i don't have a network adapter, does anybody know the pinout of the expansion bay as i assume it is a passthrough to the ide and molex connection for a hard drive,

also I have read somewhere there is a softmod for the fat ps2, so perhaps no need for a modchip, I am building this a cheap as possible currently only spent £10.51 on a 5 inch portable TV screen.

no you need a network adapter. check EB games, or Gamestop, they have them sometimes for cheap

well I need to get a memory card then, also that can be used in conjunction with a usb hard drive so no need for the network adapter? though speed may be sacrificed?

Hey, if you or anyone else is looking for PS2 Network Adapters I have 3 in a box in my grandma's garage  I bought 5 of them for $180USD a while ago, had a great plan of making and selling packages with the mem card booting HDLoader and a 250gb HDD. Only ended up getting around to making me one, and selling off one (for $300 though!!) ..But yea, basically I can sell you one if you want. Although you'd have to wait till I head home (Living in a different city while at Uni) I could PM you when I'll be able to grab them if your interested?

No idea how much postage to you from New Zealand would be though, might not be worth it

It's the sweetest non-mod chip mod there is! Pretty much get's rid of loading times playing from HDD, I know I love it
