I think we should do sonic and knuckles themed dreamcasts.
You get sonic and I get knuckles
Re: Knight Rider PS2 Portable - Tools and Vision
Yeah, I usually spend a month+ simply planning out everything (no exaggeration). During that time I go to a thrift store, pick out the best case for my design, and then make cardboard copies of all the components (mobo, batteries, etc). Then I use broken components and begin to map it all out in the case.
lol, even after all that, I often have to redo everything after modifying the case more. I can say that planning is almost half the work. The first version of my Ccube was godawful because I literally planned the whole thing in one evening (look back at my old pictures and you can see what I mean). My redesigned version of the Ccube is much better because I have spent over a month on just the case and planning. Blah blah blah,

Re: Knight Rider PS2 Portable - Tools and Vision
What's the difference? I have a couple of PS2 controllers, and I don't care what revision they are as I'm not using them for modding. If I happen to have whatever revision makes it easier (I know one of them is a blue one like in the diagram above), I'd be glad to sell ya one.Raizer04 wrote:And of course...right when i am near to perfection i run into a problem. I am trying to wire up the L1, L2, and R1, R2 to the back of my portable. The problem is that i need this specific controller to make my job easy (http://slagcoin.com/joystick/pcb_diagra ... agram7.jpg). The current one I have (http://slagcoin.com/joystick/pcb_diagra ... agram2.jpg) is a pain in the neck!
If anyone can recommend me any ps2 controllers, my ears are wide open!

Fight MS Paint abominations! If you don't have a camera, go here, and pick something 3 megapixels or higher.

PS2 Madcatz Retrocon controller. Expensive but officially the smallest PS2 controller you will find. The joysticks are extremely small tooRaizer04 wrote:And of course...right when i am near to perfection i run into a problem. I am trying to wire up the L1, L2, and R1, R2 to the back of my portable. Re: Knight Rider PS2 Portable - Tools and Vision
Well I can't help you there. But the Madcatz controller has a very tiny joystick. As in the thickness is minimal. I don't know about the PCB inside though.Raizer04 wrote:If you actually look at the insides, most of them are different.
On this site you can actually see the difference with each controller board.

The main one i am looking for is this specific one

*Be advised that there is multiple "A" type controllers, but different boards inside.

Re: Knight Rider PS2 Portable - Tools and Vision
Alright, I have a type H and a "middle-version" type A (with the not-soldered-on membrane connection, here). You stated that you were interested in the late version A, but if mine helps in any way I'd be happy to sell it to you.Raizer04 wrote:If you actually look at the insides, most of them are different.

Re: Knight Rider PS2 Portable - Tools and Vision
The PCB has to be used. It regulates overdischarging and over charging. Do without it and you will have a big melted blob of plastic and maybe a house fire.
