NTSC-US DOL-101 Gamecube want to turn it into a DOL-001

hi team , i got a NTSC-US DOL-101 Gamecube and want to turn it into a DOL-001 for the Digital AV Port.

Can this be done ? is it as simple as changing the Motherboard over to a DOL-001 and swithching over the Power Board PCB from a DOL-001 ?

Well, you could switch in the old style boards, but that would be pretty pointless.
