uuh, I think 1 is 11.1v in, 2 is ground, and 3 is 8v out.

Exactly. However, if you want that a little simpified:
1. The first pin is your unregulated power in. This is positive, soldered to the positive lead of your battery.
2. The second pin is negative. It is common with the negative (ground) pin on the unit you are powering.
3. The third pin is the regulated 8v out, safe to power your unit.

The Gamecube is still working. Even with the the regulator wired.
But the screen wont turn on.
Maby i conected + to - to the screen.
One more thing, i used the ground from the controller input thing.
Im using the gamecube original power supply to.
12 V

78** regulators get very hot when they have larger loads, I would recommend connecting your 7808 to a heatsink

Well, if you are putting 12 Volts in the PSone screen it will fry.
So I am just wondering if that's what you did, because you seem to have wired up the regulator right.

PSone screen works, Gamecube works.
The chip is smoking within a second.
You can probably boil wator on it.

if it overheat, the chip may have a short, or may dont be able provide enough power to the GC + Psone screen setup.

if the regulator dont provide enough power, you can try putting some of them in parallel , o just getting a better one.

small heatsinks are also recomended to cool them.
