Flawed?? What is flawed? If I calculated something wrong please tell me so I can change it.... i'm not the best in these kind of things please tell me what isn't correct

Where are you finding the regulators. I've only found regulators that go up to 3 amps.
I've really got to slow down on the posts, 500 in 3 months of membership, seriously, 5.5 posts a day.

I buy my regulators at a radioshack like shop here in holland. But like I said i don't think it's of any use to make a custom regulator sinds it won't be as effecient as the original one.

The reason the regulator got so hot was that it was exceeding the 5A draw. Skyone could you find a 7A swichting regulator?
So in watts this makes much more sense:
1,9v x 6,6A = 12,54 watts
3,3v x 0,8A = 2,64 watts
5v x 0,35A = 1,75 watts
in total = 17,03 watts if you would power it with a custom regulator
and 12v x 1,7A = 20,4 watts if you would power it with original regulator

Hey, for the record, I just compared your calculations to my battery life and they don't seem correct. Mind you, I can run a LED modded psone screen, a gamecube w/original powerboard, mario's low battery life LED, and the original gamecube fan for 2 hours and 10 minutes, with a fully charged 11.1v 6400mah li-ion battery.
I think they are pretty close. Once again, nice job finding out the frikken 1.9v line take 7 FRIGGEN AMPS!

Oh, and a good 11.1v battery won't drop its voltage past 10v before dying. I experimented recently and I came to the wrong conclusion before mario worked out the low battery life LED thing for me(it still fit its application, sheer luck). The pcb cuts off the voltage promptly and properly, as anything else would cause damage to the unit.
Think the way a GBA SP works, the backlight doesn't fade out or the screen either, it shows the red light, and eventually cuts off. The battery pack I was/am using was designed to do the same thing. Huzzah! No damage to components, and longer life(as in the time the battery will last before I have to replace it).

Thanks SS for clearing up the 11,1v line. I'm not too sure about the calculations but they do sound realistic. I'm going to get a 14,8v battery then I can see how long it wil last using the original regulator. I'm just wondering if you get 2 hours and 10 min with a 6400mah 11,1v battery that's not that long. Considering the calculations I made then there's something wrong with them.

battery led and fan are low so let's leave that out
so in total you would use 2300mah an hour so that means according to my calculations you would get a bit more than 2:45.
But yours is draining about 2950mah - 350 = 2600mah just for the cube. So let's say out of personal experience of SS the gamecube draw's 2,6A on 11,1v. Have you tested your psone screen amp draw it might be higher than 350mah??

I just tested powering a gamecube with a 14,8v 4000mah battery and got the following result. A whopping 2 hours and 50 minutes. Remember that this is only the gamecube so NOT with a psone screen added. So checking my calculations I said the gamecube would draw 1400mah from a 14,8v source which seems to be about correct.
With this we have the information we need:
with a 14,8v battery it's 1400mah (tested)
with a 11,1v battery it's 2600mah (tested by SS)
with a 7,4v battery it's 3000mah (untested) haven't built a fully working custom regulator and problably won't
Remember this is ONLY the gamecube draw with nothing else. that step down regulator looks perfect 10A that thing will probably cost a bunch. If anybody can get me a couple of samples and send them to holland. PM me In exchange I will make you a fully working regulator ofcourse only if I get it working
