That's so awesome! Is the screen's circuit board inside the main portion of the case or in the flip-up lid?

Its a psone lcd with the controller/driver in the main housing. The LCD and 4 LED's are the only things mounted in the flip top. I had to get rid of most of the plastic housing on the LCD to get it all in though.

Ive desoldered the connector from the board and just wired it straight through so the LCD can be easily removed if need be. Ive also chopped a lot off the board and relocated caps, resistors etc to fit it in.

Brian, your posts have brought me a good many lol'z as of late.

Also, great work on this thing, it'll shape up to be one of (if not the) greatest GCp's ever.

That is some amazing work! Was it difficult to move the screen like that? Or was it just time-consuming?

Not really difficult at all. All I did was desolder the connector and extend about 20 wires.

Not posting anything new until this ones finished. But I have another Gamecube, a Dreamcast, a PS2 and a XBOX1 all to be portablized. Im in 2 minds between a GC mk2 and the Dreamcast as I never owned one of those before.

that is just ridiculously small and awesome. Pretty damn good (ok, spectacular) especially for a portable with a disc reader.
