PS3 D-pad in 360 controller
Moderator:Moderators
Hey all,
Here's a PS3 D-pad installed in a 360 controller. It's not 100% finished, still needs a little bondo and to be secured better as right now it's just tacked in place, but it is 100% functional.
This is something that later on I plan to apply to the PS360 controller I've done also, then I'll have at the ABXY side to get the thing as close to being a PS3 controller in a 360 shell as it can be. Every button would then be 'pressure sensitive' again like on a PS3 controller, with the exception of L1/R1.
More pics and info on this in the link.

Screwing up is one of the best learning tools, so long as the only thing you're not learning is how to screw up.

The thing I love best about the 360 d-pad is pushing down, for example, and at the same time, without intention, pressing left or right. It leaves me guessing "ooh, I wonder what'll go wrong next."
I'd say the only downgrade is a decrease in frustration.

Thanks for the replies all.
If you've ever played any SF, MKIII or anything that uses the D-pad a lot on the 360 then ya know how great the thing can be sometimes, like soundwave said it's really a game all unto itself as ya have no clue what it may really do when ya press it. It's frustrating just to navigate in the dashbaord if it decides to act up.
The White one was just a test controller I did to see if it would work or not, the second one I did was a Black controller and it's a little bit better on the eyes, more pics are in the link of the first post as well.
