xbox dvd drive problem

I have an xbox oringal but the dvd drive wont read disks well some times it works but most times it doesn't. Does anyone know how to adjust the laser or is it an other problem?

Have you tried cleaning it? Maybe some dust, oils from your skin or something else is causing read problems.

Well try turning up the laser. Visit the xbox-scene site for pictures.
That usually works. Otherwise buy a new drive on eBay.

You can hack a PC drive to work on the XBOX I think.
