wii help needed

immediately thought of you guys.. got my wii in the fall and was given a new tv for xmas.. bought component cables but didn't know if my tv had any hd support (dont poke fun).. so i tried to set the wii to hd and my screen disappeared.. any way to reset the system's settings??

What difference does an HDTV make with the Wii?
So the component cables don't work? The TV is set to look at the component ports, right?
Try unplugging the console for a few minutes and plugging it back in.

Regards and as they said just plug in your composite cables and it will be forced to display 480i.
