Premium Xbox 360 or Xbox 360 Elite?

Post by Twisted Warthog » Sat Aug 11, 2007 9:00 pm

Well i saved up quite a big sum of money this summer so when the last week of August comes i going to add it all up and buy a 360 with some accessories.

The thing i want to know is should i buy, the Premium Xbox 360, or the Elite one? I've heard from some people that the Elite doesn't get the dreaded Red Ring Of Death as much as the Premium 360. I really don't want this 360 to die on me because my last one did five times. So what do you guys think. Premium or Elite?

If your TV doesn't have HDMI and you don't need 120 gigs of hard drive space, get a Premium and put the price difference toward more games (or savings).

Yeah my T.V does have HDMI i just bought it maybe a month ago. So you think the Premium has enough memory to begin with? I'm still a little iffy about the red ring of death though.

Is it the same probability of getting it on both versions of the 360?

If you buy a premium new from best buy or somewhere like that chances are you will get the new heat sinks. I just bought a premium last week and I have the new heat sinks Microsoft added.

The elites all have the new cooling method. (IIRC)

The most recently-produced Premiums do have HDMI. You can tell by whether it mentions it on the box somewhere, IIRC. (You can find the story on Engadget.)

I would get a premium. Thats cause I am getting one. Nah, it costs less for a premium, which means more money to spend on games! (or a modchip)
