Well, I am now an avid burner of movies, but I have only DVD+RW's. I was wondering if you can play properly burned DVD+RW on the slim PStwo, OR the fat one. Also, how good is a PS2 controller on a PSONE?

I doubt the DVD RWs will work on any PS2(even DVD Rs are sketchy). PS2 controllers work great on PSones.

RW's of any sort pretty much don't work on anything that doesn't specifically say that it can. And PS2's are known to be particularly picky.

Hmmm.... DVD+r (Sony branded dvd+r, IDK if that makes any different.) have suited me well, no skips or finiky loading problems. (4 dvds of mythbusters and 1 crappy Final fantasy movie (The first one, spirits within.)

I havn'nt tried DVD+rw yet, but i swear in the manual it says it supports them.

Oh by the way, I have a Schph-77001 v15 model PStwo slim.

Nope PS2 doesn't read DVD+/-RW but it does read DVD+R but the prefered type is DVD-R. I have tried all of these media burning the same game on all types of disc format and DVD-R is the best. Cheers^_^

Later models of PlayStation 2 are compatible with DVD-R, DVD+R, DVD-RW and DVD+RW. I believe compatibility with the last two was added with the same model of chunky PS2 that came with a built-in IR reciever, and that compatibility extends to the slim ones, too.

However, my first PS2 was a European launch model (V3), and would only work with high-quality DVD-Rs, and nothing else.

I know most work with CD-RWs and DVD-Rs and it doesn't matter if they are Sony or not, just get the ones without the printable label thing, get a normal one(the label throws it off balance resulting in a little noise on startup to all out PS2 destruction).
