A Good XBOX 360 Game...

Post by demonofaj » Tue Nov 28, 2006 9:25 pm

Well, I bought my 360 recently, and am now just going on XBOX Live as I try to finish Overtime mode in Dead Rising. I totally missed out on Black Friday, but I'm like a vulture, to go on some leftover pickings :-). Well, I need some recommendations from you guys. I have CoD 2 and Dead Rising already, and I already have Hitman: Blood Money for the XBOX 1. So, have any recommendations...my main conflict is whether I should get Far Cry or Gears of War? Thanks.

I've played both and Gears of War is far superior. I borrowed Far Cry from a friend a few months back and I just couldn't get into it. The best thing I can say about it is that the water looks really nice.

There are a lot of other great 360 games, but it sounds like you've narrowed your choice to these two.

So pick up Gears, you won't be disappointed.

PS - If you pick it up, let me know and we can go online and (in my case at least) get fragged. :D

No thanks. I've got Lumines Live which walks all over any version of Tetris I've ever played.

Then again, I always preferred Dr. Mario to Tetris anyway. Now there's a Wii game that needs to be made. You could throw pills all over the place with the Wii-mote! Just watch out for broken LCDs and windows.

Admittedly, I haven't played Tetris DS, but it isn't on the 360 so it's irrelevant in this thread anyway.

Now go play with your crack on a stick already!

So true... :D I used to play that before I went to bed every night, but stopped because all I saw were Tetris pieces falling. Like in my head.

Get a racing game for Xbox 360! Not that I would know, I don't have/plan on getting one.

If you're looking at this post and it was made before 2008, just ignore it.

I might have to get this now since the DS won't allow me to play Tetris DX for GBC, my favorite Tetris game ever.

I don't play graphical next gen games. But when I saw Gears of War I was way more than impressed. Can I say new Doom Troopers?

So true about seeing the pieces falling in your head! I've been having that problem with Lumines lately. It's so sad.

Totally agree on the racing game. Project Gotham 3 is pretty good, but anyone who is a fan in any way shape or form of racing games owes it to themselves to check out Test Drive Unlimited. It's an amazing experience. It's my "crack on a stick" so to speak. :D

I still play Tetris DS practically everyday on Wifi. Sadly, I'm not all that good at it. :( However, I never experienced the seeing pieces fall in my head syndrome.

EDIT: Ketchup is my crack-on-a-stick.
