Virtual Console games!!!

Post by atari2600a » Mon Nov 20, 2006 1:49 am

Well, since the News, Forcast & Internet (Opera) channels aren't up yet, I thought it'd be a good idea to buy a Virtual Console game!

I got 1000 points over credit card & got Zelda. I'm still waiting for something else better to come out later this year.

Anyone else get something?

The Wii doesn't seem to like accessing Ad-Hoc APs, so I guess I'm out of luck until I try out my wifi router.

Yeah, there's really not a lot worth buying on VC just yet.. Save up your points and get something in the future.

no.
92% of teens have moved on to rap.
If you are part of the 8% who still listen to real music, copy and paste this into your signature.

Well, i can see there being promotions. Remember last year when you could win free iTunes songs under Pepsi caps? I'd assume we can expect similar things.

I love that Michael Jackson rumor... It makes a lot of sense, but there's no physical proof from either MJ or Sonic team that the music was his. Still, I'm in the same boat as you... Sonic 3 and Sonic 3 and Knuckles are one of the only games I want for VC because they're the best games on the Genesis.

You don't call the songs sounding exactly the same proof?

No, I call it conspiracy / rumour... Proof would be written documentation from Sega that said the music was from MJ. Or from MJ.. For all we know it could be a massive coincidence or even music theft. Does Michael Jackson actually write the music sheets for his songs or just the lyrics? Because if he does, then there is a good possibility that he did, but without real 100% confirmation from someone, it remains a rumour.

I bought Zelda the first day, and I just bought Bomberman '93, so I had a good Multiplayer game with gamecube controllers.

No. If anyone took the time to check the documentation (I think I'm the only one left who does), it says you can't store any of the VC games on anything other than the built-in 512MB of flash memory. However, you can save the game saves on an SD card.

I'm sure USB thumb drive & Hard Drive support doesn't exist, but Nintendo will probably release a firmware update within a year that will allow it...

One thing I'm looking forward to, though, is putting videos on SD cards & watching them!:P
