spare gamecube

I've got a black gamecube that works fine, but the player 1 slot doesn't detect the controller. Could I make a portable out of it, or would that be a big deal?

I might get the screwdriver and open it up to see what's wrong. My other one works fine. Nintendo said they would fix it for 70 bucks. Thanks. I just wanted to know if I could still put some use into it.

I'll take that in mind. All the other controller ports work though.Corscaria wrote:$70!?! just buy a refurbished one at that cost!
If you can't get the controller working, i'm in dire need of a working laser head!

No, what I mean is can you plug a controller into port 2 and can you still play the game? You might be able to fix it if you take it apart.Jerimoo wrote:That's what I want to know. No it doesn't work. Only on Super Smash Bros. Melee.vskid wrote:No, what I mean is can you plug a controller into port 2 and can you still play the game? If I remember correctly, you can wire the controller directly to port one.
