Battery for PSTwoP

Post by CronoTriggerfan » Wed Jul 26, 2006 12:32 pm

Well, Sky is making me a PSTwoP (thanks again Sky :D !). Everything is in order, except one thing; I don't know what battery to get! Sky pulled up two very nice ones; a 9.6v 10Ah NiMH battery for $90 including a charger, or a 9.6v 5Ah NiMH battery for $56 including a charger. Of course I want the 10Ah battery, but economically, I don't know if I can, with cost of the overall portable already getting high. Does anyone know of a battery between these two in Ah that is also between/lower than them in price, that also include the charger?

Thanks,
CTFan

may I suggest you go with Li-Ion

They might be a little more cash, but the charge density will allow for a longer play time and they are generally more reliable as well as they prfer parial charge to the complete run downs of the Nickle combos

Only problem is the memory effect, this can be avoided if you go with a SONY type infolithium circuit...

Have you checked out the batteries at Power101? They're great batteries to work with and are cheap. I don't know if you need 9.6v for the PS2, but if 7.2 would work then I'd recommend going with the highest capacity one on Power101.

:)

I would suggest Li-Ions, but I'm scared of them blowing up >.<. I guess I'll deal with them if you want.
