PStwo on a psone screen

Post by spinout » Wed Jul 12, 2006 9:34 pm

I am trying to get video from a PStwo on to a psone screen (successfuly white led modded), and all I get is sound. I tried http://www.benheck.com/phpBB/viewtopic. ... 9&start=21 (composite and rgb) and never had video. Does anyone have an idea what my problem could be? if so help would be gladly appreciated. sorry I dont get the url thing

You know that the PSOne screen has the same connector as the PSTwo?? I just need to get that out of the way. The screen can be ran off of the PSTwo voltage w/out a problem, also there are some fuses in the front of the board above the connectors, check the Screen Hacking stickies, also there's a 5v regulator on the back of the board. Wire it up on the right pin of the regulator to the very last pin to the right of the first connector in front. That should cure your problems- just make sure ALL of your connections are SECURE.

as for advice yeah its the same conector, but for a real mod your probly sripping it down to the bar nitty gritty. so check out the ground and the 5v+ are set up right there are plenty of folks who forget this and dont worrie its nothing big. still there are all kinds of other reasons that you could have this problem like if its good on other video sources then maby you sould recheck the ps2 and the conections every ware in between. if all else fails you then pretend like the screen was always opened and modded rifght out of the box and seek it back to best buy with a phony warnty (works better at wall mart)

Also i think this is a screen hacking Question so next time ask in that fourm, still no biggie.

I hooked up the +5v right, but am not shure about the ground. the ground contact on the ps2 came off, so I connected ground to the ground that surrounds the ps2 MB

What Cennar means is the 5v to the LEDs, Demonfaj.

could my problem be that I never set my ps2 to rgb mode? I also have a feeling that the nearest capacitor to the fan plug is disconected, yet I have tried to solder it back on

have you tried a different screen? or a different PStwo?? if you have a PSone around you can test it on that.
