Genesis and SNES Schematics!

Post by TGS » Sat Dec 31, 2005 5:11 am

I was just going on a random google search and came across this site:

http://www.electronix.com/catalog/defau ... cPath/1_25

They claim to sell schematics for various consoles. Does this mean that someone who had time time, and parts, create a very small redisigned board that maintains 100% compatability? That would be awesome, and incredibly helpful for TGSp!

Thanks,
TGS

I've seen the SNES schematic online in a PDF format, I don't remember where it was though. It was made in about 93-94 IIRC.

Maybe, but you would probably need a lot of components not found anywhere except on that board.
Shhh! I'm not officially back yet.

I have the SNES and NES ones, work nice if you need to learn about them a bit.

You could just make a VHDL module for this stuff. I think at some point someone was going that route. At least to make a true NOAC that was cycle-accurate. It's expensive and time-consuming though. But the board design becomes REALLY small.
